5 things you need to know about Jiffy Tip hair extensions
Hair additives like braids, detachable ponytails, and clips have given us versatility and styling flexibility for decades. They thicken thin, fluff soft hair and add inches for those of us who struggle to maintain length. Hair stylists and their clients were less forthcoming about what to enhance their looks, but fortunately, that has changed in recent years. Tip hair extensions are nothing new—high-end salons have offered them for years—but they’re gaining mainstream popularity as the latest underground beauty trend. To continue our deep dive into the real human hair extensions we offer, we’ll cover Tip human hair extensions in this article.
#1 What are tip hair extensions?
Keratin tip hair extensions are one of the most popular types of permanent hair extensions and the kind most often used for celebrity crochet hair extensions and long-lasting hair extensions that are attached to existing hair. Besides, the end of the hair extension is dipped in a clear, keratin-based adhesive. Depending on the amount of keratin used, the extensions can be attached by glue, clips, thermal or cold fusion. The extensions real hair last for months, much longer than other varieties of hair extensions.
#2 What types of tip hair extensions are there?
1) Hot fusion.
The hot fusion method uses keratin glue to bond the extensions to the hair. A stylist will install the keratin tip hair extensions by melting the keratin base with a fusion hair iron (on a low heat setting) and wrapping it around a small section of hair. Tips can also be used for a hot install. However, additional keratin (such as our keratin fusion glue pebbles) will be needed to bond the i-tips to the hair.
